Summer Golds and an OOTD

I had my dear friend Ashton staying at my house for the past few days.  We, naturally, got all girly and dove into my makeup stash and dolled up.

I filmed a tutorial on her pretty mug.  Here's the video if you want to see it!  This look is especially good for people with smaller eyes because the focus was more on the lash line and less on the crease.  Enjoy.

And then we went outside and took pictures of our outfits because... why not?

Caroline and Ashton

Carrie Underwood Tutorial

Hey, y'all!  My friend Ashton requested that I do a Carrie Underwood look.  If you want to see the picture I used for inspiration, click here.  I love this makeup look and it's definitely great for daytime OR nighttime, which is always convenient.

Here's the video!

Also, here's a little OOTD, too.  I've got on a new dress from Target (the heart cut-out in the back sold me), a mint green statement necklace from a boutique called Mimi's, a rose-gold watch from Target, and some pink ballet slippers, also from Target.  What can I say?  I really dig Target.

Hope y'all have a lovely day, pretty people!

Love,
Caroline

Out-The-Door Tutorial

I was talking to my friend, Mackenzie, the other day, and she wanted to know how to do makeup quickly.  She felt like she'd rather spend time on her hair or something instead of focusing on makeup, but that she would like to know how to wear it prettily.

So this is for her and all the girls like her!  (And trust me, this is what I do when I wake up 10 minutes before class... which is a lot.)

I'm not going to post exactly what products I used just because this is something I want you to be able to do with the stuff you already have, and I feel like most girls have things along these lines.  If you have foundation and not concealer, you can just do the same thing I did with my concealer but just use whatever you have.  You can even be a rebel and put on powder blush with your fingers.  *scandalous*

Enjoy!  Don't forget to like, subscribe, and request stuff and stuff!

Liney

Last Minute Hair

Hey, guys!  Lots of you seemed into the idea of a quick hair tutorial for those days when you've run out of time, so here it is!  This works just as well for long hair as for short like mine, and once you get the hang of the motions it's super fast.

Enjoy!  I'll do more quick hair tutorials in the future, too.

Caroline

Perrie Edwards

Hiya, folks.  Few things before we get into it:

1.  This look was requested by my friend Emilyann, and you should really check out her music.  She's a singer/songwriter from Iowa.  Go listen to Lark!  Some of it is featured in the tutorial.

2.  I am postponing my ombre post.  I promise I'll talk about it soon, but I just re-did it because I wanted it more dramatic and I haven't had time to write about it yet.  But I'm very excited!

3.  I'm leaving on Saturday for a whole week and I'm going to try and schedule blog posts to go up during that time, but I won't be able to post videos!  But I'll be back at it as soon as I return, I promise.

Now let's get onto it!

Perrie Edwards is absolutely stunning and I love that she has fun with her hair and makeup.  Emilyann sent me two pictures and I picked the latter because I'm obsessed with it.  I'm totally wearing it in public today and it's definitely in the new photo on my driver's license.  No shame in that!

This is slightly more subtle than in the inspiration photo, purely because we're real people and I wanted to make it wearable.  But now that I'm thinking on it... I'd probably wear hers out to Publix anyway so I don't really know what I'm getting at.

Anyway...

Audrey

I had a request from a sweet friend (Hey, Ellen!) to do an Audrey Hepburn look.  I was tickled pink to oblige because I've been more than a little obsessed with Audrey since I was probably 12 or 13.

So here 'tis!  I'm talking you through the makeup tutorial, got a little silly with my hair do, and decided to dress up a little (didn't have a long black dress, unfortunately) just for the heck of it.  The outfit isn't very Audrey but it's retro so you know, give me a break.  Plus I'm only going to the grocery store and stuff today so I think a bunch of pearls might be too much.  Haven't worn heels in ages because of a knee injury I got in January, but I decided I just had to.  Life's too short not to wear heels, eh?

Hope ya enjoyed it!  Leave questions/requests/comments below or on my YouTube channel!  Thanks, y'all.

Love,
Caroline

Lavender Eyes (esp. for brown/hazel eyes)

Yoooo.  How are y'all doing?  Good, cool.

Here I've gone and made another tutorial.  This one is a purple, smoked out eye with a bit of a defined lashline and a plump lip.  This look works especially best for people with brown toned or hazel eyes, but really, who doesn't love throwin' down some purple?

Basically I love this look so much and feel like I'll be wearing it a lot more in the future.  It's especially wonderful for the spring and summer months.  Don't be afraid of color, folks.
